About this Post: For ten Wednesdays leading up to the holidays, I’ll share with you some of my favourite things in these “Wish List Wednesday” posts. Click on the links where you can purchase online, or visit their shops where they’d be delighted to see you! All products come from local businesses, that have surely felt the sting of this pandemic. Be sure to visit them, and follow them on social media. If you have a shop you think I should feature, please send me a message.
It’s WEEK EIGHT of the Wednesday Wish Lists and you know what that means…there are only TWO MORE WEEKS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!
THANK YOU…to each and every one of you who are sharing these lists and using them to help with your holiday gifting this year.
Enjoy this week’s picks as I showcase some of my favourite things from local, online shops…and find something cozy, something shiny, something to wear, something tasty, something that makes me smile, and something for the home.
SOMETHING COZY:
Who wants to be soooo completely cozy, that they just float away?!
If you haven’t tried The Floatation Centre…this might be the thing to relax the worries of 2020 away!
Check them out online or visit them on Instagram. AND…check out the gift card special where you can get tax tree gift cards on sale December 12th and 13th. Do you know someone that could use the gift of relaxation…this gift is perfect!
SOMETHING SHINY:
2020 has taught us a LOT of lessons this year, and Aflame Creations is incorporating a few of these into their designs!
Check them out through their website or through Instagram where you’ll find plenty of shiny things!
SOMETHING TASTY:
I love a perfectly curated box filled with delicious foods and treats…and Better in Boxes definitely knows how to style a box.
If you’re looking for a unique gift for someone on your list…that can be delivered in time for the holidays…check them out on Instagram and visit their highlight reels for lots of information about each box option.
SOMETHING FUNNY:
How funky and funny are these folk art pieces from Pufferbellies…available at Teazers in Mahone Bay.
If you’re in Mahone Bay…this is a “not to be missed” store so pop in for a visit. Or, check out their online catalog where you’ll find some of their products…and follow on Instagram to see even more (then contact them if you see something you like!)
SOMETHING TO WEAR:
If you’re looking for a cozy, Nova Scotia Strong sweatshirt…look no further than Countryfied Clothing where you’ll find the #NSStrong products as well as many more items.
Visit Countryfied Clothing online and on Instagram and make sure to check out their amazing story about their fundraising successes this past year.
Also…the owner of Countryfied Clothing (who I wrote about in a post last week), just released her book We are Unbreakable that includes 22 contributors…INCLUDING ME! Pick up a copy through Amazon (affiliate link)…the perfect gift for the resilient woman in your life!
SOMETHING FOR THE HOUSE:
I’m LOVING all things Nova Scotia this year, and these tartan dishes from Fused Glass Diva are just perfect.
Check them out online or follow on Instagram and message them for prices!
SOMETHING FROM ME:
While I’m happy to support local businesses, I’d be super happy to have your support as well!
Visit my Etsy shop to order a customized print for the holidays, or take a peek at the custom birthday, wedding, and baby shower gifts. AND, be sure to follow my graphic design shop on Instagram at Drawbridge Creative , or my blog on Instagram at Queen of Curtains.
ALL DONE BUT THE WRAPPING!
And that’s another wrap! Head back up through the post and click on all of the links to peruse around the shops to find the treasures I suggested and some others you’re likely to find. It’s so important that we help out local businesses as we head into the holiday season as 2020 has surely been tough on so many entrepreneurs!
Happy Shopping!
Colleen
