It’s time to start decorating, shopping, cooking and baking as I anxiously count down the days until my two oldest arrive home for the holidays!
IT’S GOING TO BE AN AWESOME CHRISTMAS…I JUST KNOW IT!
But, before I get ahead of myself, since I’ve done a bit of a makeover around the house, I’m thinking I might freshen up the Christmas decor to match my new style!

OK…so for starters, I’ve always wanted to put a little garland around my front door and this year might just be the year. Pre-lit and loaded with berries and pinecones…this would look so lovely greeting everyone who enters!
Along with the garland, I’ll likely pick up a wreathe from a local hockey fundraiser and then there’s this great Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer mat…
Once inside the house and with the living room all newly painted, I think I’ll add a few festive throw cushions like these gems I found! I love the sayings, and rather like the chalkboard look!
I’ve lots of wonderful grey throws for my couch but this Cable Knit one would be a perfect addition (and really, you can’t have too many warm blankets to cozy up the room!)
And speaking of cozying up the room…what’s Christmas without MUSIC! Beginning December 1st, this house will be filled with Christmas Music every single moment!
My recommendation…DEFINITELY the Pentatonix Christmas Deluxe CD which features a collection of modern and seasonal favourites, a collaboration with Jennifer Hudson and holiday classics such as “Deck The Halls”, “Let It Snow!”, and “Away In A Manger”…all sung from the most AMAZING voices! In fact, just this week I caught a video on Facebook of an upcoming special with the Pentatonix and Hudson singing “How Great Thou Art” and it brought GOOSEBUMPS!
Then moving on into the Dining Room…I’m rather taken with the dishes I already have but check out these absolutely beautiful Gibson Home Christmas Toile Dinnerware Set! With these dishes, I could set the most beautiful holiday table!
The holidays are FAST approaching. Take a little tour around the Black Friday specials and see if you can find yourself a deal! I’m going to be hunting for some new Christmas Decor but really, there are TONS of deals to find!
OH…and if you’re wondering what the new, hottest and likely best seller will be this year…check out the InstaPot…a Canadian invention that, from what I’ve heard, can cook a FROZEN hunk of beef in 30 minutes!!! That’s some kind of pot!!! The six tech geeks that invented this are on their third model (as they keep making awesome improvements) with the latest being blue tooth capable! They’ve sold a million so far…and apparently, it’s the new rage in cooking! Check it out!
