You know that feeling you get when you’ve been away for a little while? When you step through your front door and feel the familiarity…the comfort.
That feeling of belonging, of being embraced into a massive hug.
The memories associated with being in a place you know so well.
That’s what it was like watching Fuller House.
It was just as cheesy and silly as it was 20 years ago and yet…it was familiar cheese. It was Dad’s old jokes and family sayings all rolled into something that left you feeling like you belonged…that you’d never left.
This week, I had the privilege of getting a sneak peek at the first six episodes of Netflix’s Fuller House. I KNEW these people…the Tanners. I remembered them like the old friends I’d had many laughs with them and shed a few tears with them and while I didn’t remember a lot of the particulars, there were a few things that sparked memories.
But the biggest thing…was just the feeling of being in their company.
Like the warm hug.
When you finally come back home.

Fuller House is available on Netflix starting February 26th.
In the spinoff series, Fuller House, the adventures that began in 1987 on Full House continue, with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron-Bure) recently widowed and living in San Francisco. D.J.’s younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and D.J.’s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), along with Kimmy’s feisty teenage daughter Ramona, all move in to help take care of D.J.’s three boys — the rebellious 12-year-old Jackson, neurotic 7-year-old Max and her newborn baby, Tommy Jr.
